Over fifty kilometres of white sand and cliffs that plunge into a thousand shades of blue. Panoramic paths carved into the rocks, wild and majestic nature and villages that tell of history and authenticity. From Pizzo Calabro to Nicotera, in Tyrrhenian Calabria they have called the Costa degli Dei (Coast of the Gods), because here the beauty is such that the gods have chosen it as their home. Hidden coves and oases that can only be reached on foot by taking a long flight of steps, such as Michelino's in the village of Parghelia, islets that tell of pirates and mermaids, such as the Scoglio della Galera in Briatico, and then equipped lidos amidst eucalyptus trees and beaches with a small church inside a natural cavity, such as Piedigrotta in Pizzo. It is just a few minutes from the tangle of narrow streets of the historic centre perched on a tuff promontory with the Aragonese Castle where Joachim Murat was imprisoned and then shot, and the alley of kisses, with the most famous kisses in cinema and literature adorning a steep flight of steps. A crystal-clear sea and pristine seabed, rich in fish, seaweed and posidonia oceanica moving sinuously to the rhythm of the currents. A paradise for diving enthusiasts, such as the Marinella beach near the village of Zambrone adorned with Caribbean beaches and the Scoglio del Leone (Lion Rock), or the Grotta dello Scheletro (Skeleton Cave), also known as the White Cave, because you only have to dive inside it to take on a white colouring that almost looks like a skeleton. A luxuriant nature of palm trees, orange trees, broom that intoxicate with pure beauty, with a pearl: Tropea. Medieval towers and aristocratic palaces set into the cliff look out like a gigantic terrace over the blue sea. Opposite is Isola Bella, home to the Church of Santa Maria dell'Isola, a sanctuary that has become a symbol of Calabria in the world with its steps carved out of the rock and its Mediterranean garden.
