Five days in Florence in the wonders that changed the history of art and then a three-day Grand Tour amid hills, castles and vineyards as far as the eye can see: Pisa, Lucca as well as the Val d'Orcia and Montepulciano. This is an ideal trip for couples who want to be amazed by Tuscan authenticity.
Florence is the epitome of the Renaissance, and its historic centre allows you to immerse yourself in the greatest manifestations of art: from Santa Maria Novella to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Palazzo Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti.
It is also the city where geniuses such as Dante Alighieri and Leonardo da Vinci lived and where the quantity of masterpieces, housed in the Uffizi for example, surpasses all imagination: Raphael, Michelangelo, Botticelli. Here you can wander through timeless backstreets, crossing the Arno River on the Ponte Vecchio, where goldsmiths' workshops continue a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages.
Or you can explore routes that combine nature and landscape, such as the Boboli Gardens, a delight of the Medici dynasty, and the San Minato hill, with its church offering a magnificent view of the entire city and the Arno River.
After Florence, continue the journey through the Tuscan countryside by visiting the Val d'Orcia to combine art, culture, nature and gastronomy at unrivalled levels.
The villages have retained their medieval glory with one more beautiful than the other: Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Castiglion Fiorentino and San Quirico d'Orcia. The vineyards are uniquely positioned making it possible to produce extraordinary wines: in Montalcino there are the cellars of Brunello, which has made its mark on tables all over the world, and in Montepulciano you can taste Vino Nobile.
And for those looking for more beauty, from Val d'Orcia it is easy to reach the treasures of Siena, but also Umbria with its fascinating Perugia.
Day 1: in the cradle of the Renaissance
Arrival at Florence airport, transfer with private chauffeur and accommodation in a 4-star hotel in the historic centre, in a double room. Thanks to the hotel's central location, you can comfortably stroll through the Renaissance capital, encountering masterpieces and beauty at every turn. You can, for example, admire the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, with its Renaissance façade designed by Leon Battista Alberti, and walk among the masterpieces it houses inside, such as Giotto's Crucifix, Masaccio's Trinity, and frescoes by Filippino Lippi and Ghirlandaio. Or you can easily reach from the hotel the Basilica of San Lorenzo, the oldest in Florence, Piazza della Signoria and the Basilica of Santa Croce, with its polychrome marble-clad façade.
Included experience: Michelangelo's Florence of Art and Beauty
To complete a day of art and beauty, depending on the time of day chosen, meet with an expert guide and visit the Accademia Gallery, where you can contemplate the genius and power of Michelangelo's works, from the David, his most famous work, to his Prigioni and the San Matteo.
Before returning to the hotel, wander freely among the other pictorial masterpieces, sculptures and musical instruments housed in the rooms of the Gallery.
Day 2: The history of Florence
Have breakfast at the hotel, then walk around the city with an expert guide.
Included experience: Walking Tour in Florence between history and culture
Visit the Central Market, with its multicoloured shops and stalls, then continue towards Piazza del Duomo, with the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, which can be visited depending on the crowds, with Brunelleschi's Dome, a symbol of the Renaissance around the world, Giotto's Bell Tower and the Baptistery of San Giovanni with the Gates of Paradise, a masterpiece of goldsmithing by Ghiberti.
Next, immerse yourself in the medieval quarters where Dante Alighieri and his muse Beatrice lived, then head for the Palazzo del Bargello, the Uffizi Gallery and Piazza della Signoria, with the imposing Palazzo Vecchio, the city's political and civic symbol.
Continue the walk towards the Straw Market, the Porcellino Fountain and Ponte Vecchio, with its goldsmiths' and jewellers' workshops.
On the other side of the Arno, admire Palazzo Pitti, residence of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany, now a museum with works by Raphael and Titian.

Bid farewell to your guide and treat yourself to lunch in a typical trattoria, then leave with your driver for Lucca, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Italy, with narrow streets, squares and churches enclosed by imposing 16th-century walls.
Entering the ramparts becomes a continuous surprise: palaces, churches, and squares tell of the wealth and industriousness of this city, famous for its local pastry products such as Buccellato, a sweet bread flavoured with aniseed.
