Four days in Rome with accommodation in a 4-star hotel in the heart of the historic centre, in a double room and breakfast included.
This is a journey into history. Every street in the city reflects the passage of millennia, marked by the men's monuments and the aspirations of eternity of the thousand churches, up to the magnificence of St. Peter's and its Dome.
It is impossible to list the wealth of art and archaeology, from the Colosseum to the Vatican Museums, from the Pantheon to the Capitol, from the Baths of Caracalla to the Trevi Fountain.
There is no artist who has not left a masterpiece there: from Michelangelo to Raphael, from Bernini to Caravaggio.
And then the Dolce Vita, the glamour that became a myth and the 'Roman Holiday' that inspired cult films.
Not to mention the nightlife of Trastevere or the most sought-after clubs in Monti, or the outdoor terraces of hotels offering classy aperitifs.
Roman cuisine, however, remains anchored in the tradition of the osterie, whether in the Ghetto or in the districts of the new movida, with dishes that have seduced the world: first and foremost, pasta carbonara and amatriciana.
Day 1: On a Vespa to explore cinema and history
Arrival at Rome airport, transfer with private driver and accommodation in a 4-star hotel in the city centre, in a double room. Thanks to its central location, it is possible to walk leisurely through the city's most famous streets, such as Via del Corso, Via Veneto, Via del Babuino and Via di Ripetta. A stop in one of the many bars to sip an authentic Italian espresso is a must and, at lunchtime, you should really enjoy a relaxing break in one of the many typical osterias.
Included experience: Rome on a Vespa to discover cinema and history
In the afternoon, meet at an agreed time with an expert guide to experience the immortal beauty that has captivated movie directors from all over the world, from Federico Fellini to Woody Allen.
Like Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in 'Roman Holiday', climb aboard a Vespa with an expert driver and admire the Eternal City from the Appia Antica to the Colosseum, the symbol of gladiators and ancient Rome, recognised as one of the 7 Wonders of the World.
Continue from Trinità dei Monti to Piazza del Popolo and Piazza Navona, one of the most characteristic urban complexes of Baroque Rome.
Before returning to the hotel, treat yourself to an artisanal gelato or a real Italian cappuccino and don't forget to make a wish by throwing a coin into the Trevi Fountain.
Day 2: Rome Eternal City
Accommodation in a 4-star hotel in the city centre, in a double room including breakfast. Thanks to its central location, you can easily reach Rome's most important historical sites, travelling step by step through more than 2,700 years of history, including archaeological evidence, romantic landscapes, myths and legends.
Included experience: Archaeological tour of Rome amid art and history
Together with a private guide, immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Eternal City, also called 'caput mundi', the centre of the world. Starting at the Baths of Caracalla, built between 212 and 216 AD, then on to the Circus Maximus, where chariot races were held in front of more than 150,000 spectators.
Stop under the portico of the Basilica of Santa Maria in Cosmedin with its Bocca della Verità, the marble mask that, according to legend, bites the hand of the lying person.
And then the Foro Boario and the Palatine Bridge, which connects the Forum to the Trastevere district.
End the experience with a typical granita called 'Grattachecca', made of finely crushed ice, fruit and sweet syrups.
Before returning to the hotel, take your time to enjoy the bohemian atmosphere of Trastevere, strolling among the typical taverns, kiosks and music.
From carbonara to amatriciana, the district offers taste and tradition at every turn.
Day 3: The tastes of Roma
Accommodation in a 4-star hotel in the city centre, in a double room including breakfast. Thanks to its central location, you can easily reach Trastevere for a day of tasting and tradition.
Included experience: Food Experience in Trastevere between taste and folklore
On your own, visit Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere and its Basilica, a jewel of early Christianity with splendid Byzantine mosaics.
Then explore the labyrinth of streets, small kiosks and typical taverns, where not a single modern building is found and it feels like going back in time.
In the afternoon, meet with an expert guide to stroll through the shops and restaurants and then enjoy typical dishes paired with well-known wines such as Barolo, Brunello and Amarone.
Trastevere is one of the most picturesque areas of the capital: the heart of the medieval city, without imperial monuments, but with a joy of life that infects everyone.
Before returning to the hotel, you can easily visit Tiber Island, the only urban island on the Tiber, and from there the Jewish Ghetto, whose streets reflect centuries of community life, racism and segregation, but also the struggle and resilience of a people in the name of human rights.
Day 4: Rome in your heart
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, and then transfer to Rome airport with a private chauffeur. Leave with the eternal memory of a holiday in the heart of a thousand-year-old culture.
